What can this dashboard do?

Introduction

The Utah PGA Admin Dashboard is an application built around the existing Golf Pass app. It allows Global Admins and Golf Course Admins to create, edit, and delete most of the data that powers the Golf Pass, including golf courses, offers, redemptions, and pass purchases.

Getting Started

In order to make this process as stream-lined as possible, the tool is designed so that anyone can create their own account. That account is then put in holding phase where it waits to be approved by an existing administrator. To start the process, simply navigate to the registration page and sign up with your email address.

Once you've created an account, you'll be shown a limited dashboard that will describe what steps need to be taken to gain proper access. The first step for every user is to verify your email. Check your email for a verification link.

Due to the nature of sending email, please allow a few minutes for the verification email to arrive before requesting another one.

At this point, an existing Global Admin will need to assign you as either a Global Admin or a Golf Course Admin (more on the distinction between the two below) and set your status to "Activated." If the new account is being given the role of Golf Course Admin, they will also need to be assigned which golf course(s) they will be an admin over.

The Dashboard Homepage

The homepage is the heart of the Admin Dashboard and the Golf Pass! It shows you everything you need to know in a glance!

The Dashboard homepage is where you can go to see the status of everything you manage. For Global Admins, this means you can see if there are any pending user, how many golf passes have been sold, any requests for changes to offers or golf courses, offer redemption disputes, and how many offers have been redeemed as well as the most popular offer.

For Golf Course Admins, you get most of the same capabilities, except for pass sales information and pending users. Instead, Golf Course Admins can see any of their own change requests that are still pending, as well as the number of redemptions and the most popular offer of all the courses they manage. Golf Course Admins can also resolve redemption disputes for offers on courses they are admin over.

Differences Between Global and Golf Course Admins

Global Admins

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Global Admins have the highest level of permission in the application. They can change the permissions and status of other users, approve or deny change requests, view and refund purchases, add and remove offers, and anything else the application is capable of doing.

Golf Course Admins

Golf Course Admins have relatively little direct capability. They can only oversee redemptions and offers related to golf courses they've been assigned access to. Even then, they can only request changes to their golf courses and offers. All of these requests have to be approved by a Global Admin.

Support

If you run into any errors with the application, you can always easily submit a support request using the "Support" link in the footer of every page. You can also read up on any recent changes to the application by clicking the "version 1.0.5" link in the bottom of the footer. That will take you to another section of the documentation that details all the changes made for every update made to the application.
